With years of experience and extensive product testing we have pieced together the best bang for your buck suspension kit. This kit is more then a lift, it will change your 4Runner’s ride quality from brake diving and body roll to a comfortable firmer ride using quality suspension components sourced using Bilstein 5100’s and ARB Old Man Emu coils. Pairing these parts together allows you to use a Bilstein 5100 and keep the cir-clip on the bottom so we get full up travel and down travel on the front shocks. This is an improved way of lifting your 4Runner as opposed to just using the 5100s and pre-loading a stock coil.
Current lead time: 2-3 weeks
The front Bilstein 5100’s provide for better dampening with larger shocks, and the ability to adjust ride height. Keep in mind when raising via the perch the ride becomes harsher. It’s better to upgrade to a stiffer coil to add lift without losing preload.
The rear Bilstein 5100’s are extended, meaning you achieve much more travel over stock, allowing your rear to stay on the ground in those areas of heavy articulation.
Both front and rear coils are made by OME, and you have the option to upgrade them to stiffer coils depending on what suits your needs best.
Following the below guideline is a good reference on what you should do. You also have the ability to upgrade coils if you feel you need more weight options. If you are unsure give us a call and we will gladly help.
- Option 1: OME 880: Stock front weight. 1.5 inch lift
- Option 2: OME 881: Stock front weight. with 2 inch of lift with 5100’s
- Option 3: OME 883: 200 + lbs additional front weight heavy bumper 2.5 inch Lift
- Option 1: OME 906 coils 2″ Lift
- Option 2: OME 890 coils 2.5″ Lift normal weight
- Option 3: OME 891 coils / heavy duty Duty 2.5″ of lift “Recommended for added weight such as bumpers or a lot of extra gear”
SPC’s upper control arm is also included in this kit. Not only is this necessary to achieve factory alignment specs, but it also allows in 80% more travel over the stock upper control arm. Unlike other control arms, this UCA does not need maintenance, meaning it’s one less thing on your mind.
This is a great kit no matter if you are looking for a simple lift, or want to fit larger tires on your 3rd Generation 4Runner.
