Toyota trucks leave the factory with the U-bolt threads under the rear axle, pointing at the ground — the first thing to catch on a rock and the first thing to get damaged. The DuroBumps U-Bolt Flip Kit (DBFK01) for the 2005–2023 2nd/3rd Gen Tacoma and 2000–2006 1st Gen Tundra flips the configuration: heavy-duty 9/16" diameter, 7.75"-long U-bolts saddle the axle tube with the threads pointing up, paired with a 3/8" thick steel flip plate that mounts the axle to the leaf pack from above and shields the threads.
