1996-2002 3rd Gen 4Runner Lower Control Arm Reinforcement (LCAR)

The 3rd Gen 4Runner’s factory lower control arms have a known weak spot: the lower ball joint support arm is forged and plenty stout, but the arm itself is formed sheet steel. Every time the bump stop meets the frame, that sheet steel is what stops the upward travel of the wheel — and over time and hard use, it cracks at the ball joint end. The EimKeith LCAR is a reinforcement plate system designed to stop that failure.

Three parts per arm:

• An upper reinforcement that ties the forged ball joint arm directly to the bump stop mount, creating a direct load path and reducing flex at the end of the factory arm
• A two-piece lower reinforcement that adds triangulation from the bottom of the forged ball joint arm and incorporates a skid plate on the front side, so the arm slides up and over obstacles on the trail
