Because Toyota uses a projector style housing, LED bulbs aren't nearly as good of a replacement due to the projection. HID's on the other hand excel with the projectors and provide a flawless lighting beam.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eNot to be confused with earlier style HID's of the early 2000's, there's no fancy stuff needed with these HID's. Everything is plug and play and takes no time to install. There's no special wiring necessary to go to the battery etc.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFor the high beams a set of 2 stroke LED bulbs are included. High beam bulbs on the Tacoma do not use a projector so HID's are not needed.
